Just Picture It Technique Workbooks Learning technique visually simply makes sense. I created the Just Picture It Technique workbooks to help my own students gain confidence and independence for learning their technical requirements for exams. Designed to follow a Canadian examination syllabus, these books are a free resource for teachers and students. You may download and print them for educational purposes.

  2. Can you explain the "Scales: Formula Pattern"? The Up ~ Out ~ In ~ Up ~ Down ~ Out ~ In ~ Down.....

    1. That's just my quick way to describe the scale directions for the formula pattern. "Up" is parallel motion ascending, "out" is contrary motion and so on.

    2. I was confused about this, too, but I found an online Youtube video demonstration, and let me tell you, my studio kids LOVE it. In fact, they really enjoy doing scales based on your books. Thank you so much!

    1. It's the fingering trick that tells you when to tuck or cross over (123tuck 1234tuck 123tuck)
